Alberta Giorgi is associate professor of Sociology of Culture and Communication at the University of Bergamo, where she is part of the research groups Cut&D (Digital and Technological Cultures) and CREME (Creative Methods Open Lab), and associate researcher at CES (University of Coimbra) and DEMCI (University of Stavanger). Her research interests lie at the intersection of gender, politics, religion, and science. Among her recent publications, Religion, Populism, Gender in the Mediterranean (edited with J. Garraio and T. Toldy, Routledge 2023), Populism and Science in Europe (edited with H. Eslen-Ziya, Palgrave Macmillan 2022), and the special issue Populism, Religion and Gender, (edited with O.C.
