Vasiliki Georgiadou is professor of political science at the Panteion University of Social and Political Sciences of Athens. Since February 2023 she is the Director and President of the Directors Board of the National Centre for Social Research (EKKE) in Greece. She received a PhD in Sociology from the Faculty of Philosophy of the Westphalian Wilhelms University of Münster/Germany. Her current research interests focus on far-right parties and movements, populism, radicalism, political violence, and violent extremism. She is the coordinator of the research project "DeMoLiSH _ Detecting, Monitoring and Linking online Hate Speech and offline Hate Crime" (ELIDEK, Greece 2. 0, https://www.demolish.gr/ ), which studies hate speech in social media and forms of violent behaviour in everyday life. Her research has been published in journals such as Electoral Studies, Party Politics, International Journal of Politics, Culture and Society, Zeitschrift fUur Politikwissenschaft, Journal of Modern Greek Studies.
