Sophia Kanaouti is a researcher and Adjunct Lecturer for the University of Athens. 
She is also a 2018 and 2022 Institute of Critical Social Inquiry Fellow and a 2021 and 2023 Democracy and Diversity Institute Fellow, for The New School for Social Research, New York. She was the main researcher for the research project “GenderInMedia” with the National Center for Social Research, as well as for the EU-funded projects: PRESS (for the prevention of sexual harassment and violence [2022-2024]), and GENDER PUBLIC DEBATE (aimed at capacity building for women politicians[2018-2020]), with the University of Athens. She writes on gender, media, and politics.
