Dr Maria Pontiki is Adjunct Lecturer of Digital Humanities & Social Sciences at the Department of Political Science and History of Panteion University, and Research Associate at the Institute of Language and Speech Processing/Athena RC, Greece. Her research interests include text data mining and discourse analysis with a focus on subjective language (e.g. hate speech), and she has co-organized sentiment analysis tasks in the framework of international workshops (SemEval 2014-2016). She has participated in several European and national projects (e.g. SSHOC, DeMoLiSH), and has publications in the fields of Computational Linguistics and Digital Humanities & Social Sciences.
