MEN4DEM
Masculinities for the Future of European Democracy
MEN4DEM is a Horizon Europe funded research project building bridges between society, art and science to pave the way for masculinities for the future of European democracy. We bring together gender justice organizations, performance artists and a consortium of academic partners to co-create and share different types of knowledges. Together, we will develop and test visions of a transformation from anti-democratic to more inclusive masculinities.

1. Inclusive masculinities are key to the future of European democracy.
By co-creating new visions of masculinity through research, art, and activism, we can transform anti-democratic norms into inclusive models that empower everyone.
2. Art and science together can dismantle extremism.
Combining emotional, lived experiences with rigorous academic research, we aim to disrupt the dangerous spread of anti-democratic masculinities and promote democratic, inclusive alternatives.
3. Co-creation with young men is essential for lasting change.
By engaging young men in the process of reimagining masculinity, we develop effective, real-world interventions that challenge extremist ideologies and foster a culture of resistance and inclusion.
